Melee can beat faster.plus while ninjas are cool and all, Nioh series style of ninjutsu is very resource dependant. of course its not insanely a chore like it is meeting Ninja requirements and fundamentals in FFXI, but I dunno if ninja is the way to go in Nioh 2. on top of that, I have yet to find a ninja outfit, most of the gear is samurai themed sorta. Oof. You should maybe try other weapon that has dex as their secondary scaling then. The difference is not that big before reaching maybe around 60 or 80 on the stat but you can always remodel the scaling later.
